Can anyone tell me which book is the best on Holdem?
Looking to buy a present for a friend that loves the game

Also, is there a list of winning % of pre-flop hands around here anywhere?
I don't see a "search" feature on this forum to look up if this/these have been mentioned before.

Thanks for any help...pj

Why not buy your friend Super System 2? It's about $24 at Amazon and would make a great gift. I'm assuming he or she has experience, though.

Two of the best books out there, both include preflop hand rankings...

1. Texas Hold'em for advanced players by David Skalansky and Mason Malmuth(spelling on both???)
2. Small Stakes Texas Hold'em by Ed Miller (also Skalansky and Malmuth)

Both are top flite books and are considered by many as two of the best.
